So I will never know my playoff predictions from before the season starts since I posted it in Siddys league, but I do remember I had OKC at 8th and Phoenix at 5th and everyone said I was crazy (I also had Clippers at 7th, but that was before Blake went down). So here are my Predictions (and yes I do have more important things to be doing): West: Round 1: Los Angeles in 5 - OKC will sneek out a win but it will pretty much be LA Utah in 6 - Denver is reeling and still without Karl, but I see Melo taking over in a few games Dallas in 5 - I can see all games being close but Dallas winning by a nose almost every time Phoenix in 6 - *tear* A week ago I would have been a homer and picked my Blazers, but with Roy either out or injured, we just don't have the guns to keep up And Phoenix has been on a good run recently Round 2: Los Angeles in 7 - Utah will stretch this but I see nobody keeping up with Kobe on the Jazz Phoenix in 6 - I think Amare is too physical for Dirk and Nash too quick for Kidd. Dallas will hold their own but I seen Suns taking it. Conf. Finals: Los Angeles in 6 - This match up depends alot on the health of Bynum East: Round 1: Cleveland in 4 - Bulls are just happy to be in the plyoffs Boston in 7 - This will be a hard fought match up with the old farts just beating the Heat Orlando in 5 - If Lewis and Carter can remember how to play this will be a sweep Atlanta in 4 - I'm curious to see how Jennings will do Round 2 - Cleveland in 5 - How many times will we see Garnett slamming his head into a basketball? Atlanta in 7 - This one was hard, again if Lewis and Carter start ballin, Orlando could prove me wrong Conf. Finals: Cleveland in 6 - LeBron will take over this series Finals: Cleveland in 6 - I hope Kobe cries (yes I'm a Laker hater and proud of it!)

Nice tyson, i agree with most of what your saying but i dont think LA will make it to the conference finals this year. Fish and kobe are playing really old. I also have a tear for our blazers. We need to take some more knee vitamins or something

the bulls may not win their series, but its gonna be more than 4 games. chicago is 2-2 against cleveland this year. and lebron hasnt played in 4 games, zilgauskas and shaq havent really played in a while so they'll be rusty, and i think their rhythm and timing will be enough for the bulls to capitalize on a few games. hopefully

OK...
LAL over OKC in 6 (I'm a believer in the Thunder... they could even push this to 7)
UTAH over DEN in 7 (The Nuggets have really struggled without Karl)
PHX over POR in 6 (Even without Roy, the Blazers will figure out a way to keep it competitive)
DAL over SAS in 5 (I'm not buying the Spurs... not one bit) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LAL over UTAH in 5 (The Jazz just do not match up with the Lakers)
DAL over PHX in 7 (Dallas plays more defense than Phoenix) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LAL over DAL in 7 (Maybe I'm in denial, but I just can't see the Lakers not getting there) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over CHI in 5 (Don't let the 2-2 record fool you. Bron didn't play in the last game, and the first 6 games of Cleveland's season might as well get thrown out)
BOS over MIA in 7 (I don't have the guts to pick Miami)
ATL over MIL in 6 (Milwaukee has somehow managed to win despite the loss of Bogut)
ORL over CHA in 6 (Bobcats just don't have enough firepower) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over BOS in 5 (The Celtics are toast)
ORL over ATL in 5 (Horrible match up for the Hawks) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over ORL in 7 (I hope...) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over LAL in 7 (Finally)

LAL over OKC in 4 (I'm a not a believer in the Thunder . . . not this year.)
DEN over UTAH in 7 (The Nuggets win it for George, emotinally. Actually, do Nuggets players have emotions? This one is really a toss up actually)
POR over PHX in 6 (Homer pick, but I'm strangely confidant. We're gonna steal one of the bat in game 1.)
DAL over SAS in 6 (This is the end of the Spurs. For a long, long time.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LAL over DEN in 5 (Denver is worse this year, Lakers are better.)
POR over DAL in 7 (Roy returns? Either way, Blazers match up well with DAL and if they can get past PHX anything could happen here.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POR over LAL in 7 (Hey, if they make it this far, I'm not picking against them!!!) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over CHI in 4 (Some close games, but Bron is on a mission.)
MIA over BOS in 7 (Boston's goose is cooked. I predicted this two years ago.)
ATL over MIL in 6 (This is gonna be very fun to watch. Jennings should win ROY, and he'll show people why here. ATL is too good though.)
ORL over CHA in 6 (Orlando should make this look easy. But they won't.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over MIA in 5 (Bron is on a mission, Wade is bored of the playoffs by this point.)
ORL over ATL in 6 (Another entertaining series, but Atlanta is overmatched.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ORL over CLE in 7 (Bron is on a mission. Oops. FAIL.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POR over ORL in 7 (Is Oden back by now? Hell yeah. Howard/Oden. Roy/Vince. Aldridge/Rashard. Andre Miller wins finals MVP.)
GO BLAZERS!

lol funny predictions here, I'll throw in some fanboy hopes as well:
LAL over OKC in 5 (Thunder will put up a good fight and won't lose by much, and can even win one game)
DEN over UTAH in 7 (They have a playoffs team, they tasted from it last year and will fight hard this year, even with a few setbacks. Jazz will not get run over, this will be one of the best 1 round matchups)
PHX over POR in 6 (Blazers came this far with all the setbacks, and they'll go down fighting until the end. Nash/Stat duo has been too good this year to be stopped in the first round)
DAL over SAS in 5 (Ginobli will win the Spurs a game, but Dallas is just too solid this year) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LAL over DEN in 6 (Much of this will be a replay of last years conference finals, Nuggets fight hard but don't have it together to bring down the Lakers. Melo will fight hard and Billups will hit some big shots, but Nene won't get enough help in the frontcourt from Kmart and Birdman who've been injured)
DAL over PHX in 6 (With the addition of Haywood, Dallas has just too much stopping power, and the Suns don't play hard enough defense against a rock solid Mavs team) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAL over LAL in 7 (Mavs have the frontcourt to match up with the Lakers, and Kidd's experience will get them past a worn down Lakers team. Will Kidd have a last shot at a ring? I think he deserves at least a chance) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over CHI in 5 (Bulls will put up a bit of a show powered by Noah's energy and Rose's skills, but of course not enough to upset the future champs (wait, what did I say? Spoiler alert))
MIA over BOS in 7 (Heat were on a great run, and they will carry this on and they said they would give all they got. Wade certainly has enough to give, as oppossed to the Boston Big 3 Oldtimers)
ATL over MIL in 4 (This will the only sweep of the playoffs, the Bucks need Bogut and Jennings can't handle the playoffs, while the Hawks have the right pieces together and just need to fight hard)
ORL over CHA in 5 (Bobcats can't defend Howard, and if the Magic are smart they abuse this, and otherwise they'll fire it up from downtown.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over MIA in 5 (There will be a nice superstar showdown in which the Heat are able to win a game, but they just don't have a complete team like the Cavs have)
ORL over ATL in 7 (Great matchup between two very different teams, and each will win games with their own strength, but in the end the Magic win because of the great combination of Post threat/3point ability) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLE over ORL in 6 (James is poised on payback, which he will get. Shaq has a resurgance to defend his superman title and will give Howard a hard time.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Finals between Dallas and Cleveland will go in 7 games, up and down, and will be decided by a game winner.... by? Some who really wants his first ring.... and I'm afraid James will have to wait another year (after which he will surely get it if he stays in Cleveland), but the finals will be won by...
Jason Kidd.

POR over ORL in 7 (Is Oden back by now? Hell yeah. Howard/Oden. Roy/Vince. Aldridge/Rashard. Andre Miller wins finals MVP.) GO BLAZERS! HELL YA MIGHTY! Roy won't be back in the second, not tell the Conf. Finals probably but I think we have a better chance there then in the first. I am not saying we are toast, it would be kinda funny if my Playoff bracket is busted by my home team, but I would be ok with it. It's funny I talked with you about this, we limp our way into the Conf. Finals then Roy and Oden come back and give the team the lift to beat the Lakers and Orlando/Cleveland. There would be a movie made of this season. Roy would be played by Columbus Short, Oden by Debo from Friday

Unfortunately, CLE takes LAL in 6 or 7. Both teams are healthy enough and when healthy no one in their conferences come close.

I think Lakers aren't as clear cut ahead of the West as Cleveland is of the East

The Fakers have been healthy for awhile (- Bynum) and have been really struggling. If there isn't a "switch" they flip, its gonna be a tough road for them. They're luck they drew the Thunder in round one, because both Portland and San Antonio could have really put the pressure on them.
I loved the game last Sunday where Portland beat them in L.A., but I have a sneaking suspicion that they threw that game on purpose. It was a great confidence booster for Portland, so I'll take it, but that was almost tooooo weird of an ending to be true.

^Hard to stay focused (in the reg season) after you win it. 99-00 67 wins Champs 00-01 56 wins Champs 15-1 playoffs 08-09 65 wins Champs 09-10 57 wins Beginning of the season I was thinking the Blazers were the biggest threat and then decimated by injuries. We both have iffy potentially franchise centers. When healthy both teams are stacked. Maybe there will be an epic WCF next year.

Yeah, the Thunder and Blazers are really gonna make for an epic WCF battle next year. I absolutely think the Lakers lost focus this year, which is understandable. I just would have expected them to regain focus in the last week or two of the season, and that didn't really seem to happen. The Laker/Blazer game from a week ago, though, that seemed like they wanted to lose that game. I dunno if it was to avoid Portland in the 1st round or what, but in retrospect it really looked like they threw that game on purpose.

I think when Drew got hurt it gave them an excuse not to work that hard down the stretch. Until Roy got hurt, I did not want the Blazers in Rd 1. Not the way Miller and Camby were playing. You do know we start this fossil named D Fish. Anyway, we'll learn a lot tomorrow. If we roll the Thunder all is well. If it's a tough series...who knows.
So...do we draft right after the Finals are over?
