Although, this really comes back to Wiggins and the idea that the Cavs would be in the same place with him. I disagree. If Wiggins is playing, who's he playing in front of? Is he playing in front of Shump? Well, now you just replaced an elite perimeter defender with a bad one. If he playing in front of JR? That's replacing your best shooter with a bad one. Honestly, I don't think Wiggins plays at the end of games anyway, with the way the Cavs like to finish. This is an easy question because KEVIN LOVE ISN'T PLAYING AT ALL. The Cavs didn't need him to beat Chicago, they didn't need him to beat Atlanta, and you're not going to convince me that they needed him to beat Boston. If Wiggins was on the roster he could be in street clothes behind the bench and the team would be rolling out the exact same roster that they are today. I know this doesn't address Richardson's "butterfly effect" theory, but that is an impossible argument. Question for Cavs fans- Which scenario is worse for your chances to keep Kevin Love, Cavs win finals or lose finals? Question for Blazers fans- IF Kevin Love decides to leave, and Portland was a desired destination (ya know, going back to where he was born), would you rather have him than LA? Heard both of these questions on a pod and had genuine curiosity, I'd rather have LA because he is a better player on both ends of the court. I'd rather not have Kevin Love because I don't really like him and would be annoyed having to root for him.

The Cavs are going to be in a worse luxury tax situation than the Nets were when they resign Thompson, Love, Shumpert, J.R. and next year Mozgov. Yup... the only difference is the Cavs won't be paying senior citizens.

If he's not playing, he's not going to develop. It's the chicken and egg argument. Wiggins had nice numbers this year for a rookie... he was also the #1 option and allowed to shoot literally as much as he wanted. He was the featured player this year. That wouldn't happen here. He'd get, maybe, 20 minutes per game on this Cavs team. I don't know why I'm still having this argument. The Cavs are in the finals. You've admitted to not liking Love. This argument is pointless. And Jurassic World comes out in a week in a half. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

Is it safe to assume that if the Cavs kept Wiggins, then Wes Matthews wouldn't have gotten hurt and we'd have a Cleveland/Portland finals?
I think that is what would have happened.

The way I see it, PFs in the league go like this: Davis > Aldridge > Griffin > Duncan > Green > Love > Gasol > Nowitzki > Milsap > Monroe I might be forgetting someone but that's my order off the top of my head. Green and Duncan might officially flip positions next year.

Well, injuries suck but all of a sudden my 4-1 series win for the Warriors bet is gonna cash in nicely. No way I see LeBron letting them sweep him on his home court so he wills them to victory once I'm hoping! Money!
Now in regards to the sport itself and the series as a whole, this sucks. This was shaping up to be an awesome Finals and now I think seeing 6 games will be a blessing for us. It would have been fun watching a healthy Kyrie vs Steph.

I'll say it. I'm super jealous of you Cleveland fans. The Finals look like so much fun.

I went 20-0 in a 30 team league. Take a minute and let it sink in.
I ruined all of you.

Just a conclusion drawn by an uninformed fan, but it seems this could be a sign that they aren't confident in keeping LA. They're beginning to rebuild by bringing in a guy who is not ready to contribute meaningful minutes to an NBA team for a few years but has the potential to be really good. Interesting move.
