However, my counterpoint would be: where's he going to go? And don't say Los Angeles because Kevin Love is not retarded. (On your point about him saying he's staying: You're right. He's not going to come out and say he's leaving. But we've seen in the past from players, LeBron James for example, that they will stop short of declarations one way or the other. Kevin Love is bucking that trend by saying "I am staying" and "The Lakers are not an option." Hell, LeBron wouldn't commit like that to Miami or Cleveland the last time.) Phoenix. We have picks and players to move. The twins will be gone, at least one for sure with this assault news that I know for a fact is true and real as I had a friend there. They beat the shit out of this guy and were seen kicking him in the face on the ground. Not gonna be good for their tenure here as we historically have a trend of booting players with off court issues immediately. Love for the twins and a couple future 1st's could do it and honestly, you may be upgrading in regards to youth and salary hits. Sent from The Office of the Phoenix Suns General Manager

And for what it's worth, I could see Kevin Love in San Antonio. But I think he'll stick in Cleveland.

As far as Portland/Memphis goes, I've got Memphis in 5. Damian Lillard looked like a fool out there in game 1. Tony Allen looked perfectly healthy. Conley did too, and only had to play limited minutes.
Afflalo isn't ready, but is going to try to come back tonight anyway . . . bad idea.
The Blazers season was over the minute Wes Matthews got hurt, I think that should be pretty clear by now.
In other news, bummer about OKC firing Brooks. I was really hoping they wouldn't notice he was a crap coach and keep letting him "lead" that team for another decade. I'm worried about what might happen if they get a real coach in there.

Why go back to the bloodbath that is the Western Conference, to play with inferior teammates, in what will essentially amount to the same role? I'm sure he'll get a few more touches in PHX, but they'll still want to use him as a Channing Frye type. While a haul of the twins and a couple 1sts would be great if Love were intent on leaving, like you said, the twins are now damaged goods. I don't know what they'd be facing in terms of punishment, but... yeah.

The twins stomped a dude out in front of people and nobody got video of it? That's a shame. I could see Kevin Love becoming more happy with his situation as the playoffs move forward but one huge red flag to me was how he picked Westbrook for MVP instead of Lebron. If your teammate is in the running for MVP and you say a guy on another team, something is wrong. You always have your teammates back, I found that pretty telling.

Sent from The Office of the Phoenix Suns General Manager I remember when this story first broke I heard (I think on a Grantland podcast) that this will not end well for the twins and they will be lucky to be playing next year if they are. That was right after the incident (when did it happen Nauherdler? December?) apparently there was some things that may or may not had happened at Kansas to that never made it to the national media. The twins had an undercover reputation of just not being good dudes. I don't know why the story took so long to get to this stage.

Well, they did get in trouble at Kansas for shooting kids out of their dorm window with a BB gun, so yeah, they had a rep.

December sounds about right in terms of when I was told about it from my buddy. I also have another friend who works for the team as an accountant and told me they are arguably the worst two people in regards of managing their money that he's ever seen. Told me they often are talking to accounting about their checks and always trying to push the checks to be released earlier to them. Weird but don't want to jump to too many conclusions on that front. At the end of the day, they will be damaged goods but damn they sure have progressed as solid role players. What a shame. He's really not a bad defender, so long as he's not left on an island. He's been pretty good as a help defender, and he always seems to be in the right spot. On an unrelated note, the only reason Reggie Miller still has a job is because America hates him, right? He's not good at his job, but he's so annoying that he gets talked about constantly, thus TNT is justified in keeping him around.

Sent from The Office of the Phoenix Suns General Manager I hate that you think this. You can't compare an elite rebounder to Channing Frye. The only thing Channing Frye can do is shoot, and Love has a better shot. Love's also a way better passer. Love's also been one of the best players in the NBA the last 5 years, Frye is a 4th option at best.

Key word, glorified. Never said he's the same on any level, but a glorified version. I get it, he's good I just think he's more of a stat filler than actual NBA talent that translates to wins. If I'm building a roster and I have to pay him max money while i could get Frye and another guy for that same money, I'm probably taking the depth because I can find a junk rebounder. But don't get me wrong though, I'd welcome him down here haha.
