Newark receives: Ben Simmons RE-SIGN RIGHTS
Cap space before: $26,160,000 Cap space after: $28,510,000
Oakland receives: Buddy Hield RE-SIGN RIGHTS RJ Hampton - $1,850,000 (2023, 2024x) Darius Bazley - $500,000 (2021, 2022x) 2021 MIAMI 1st Round Pick
Cap space before: $9,800,000 Cap space after: $7,450,000
I accept. Simmons and Zion will be long term building blocks. The upgrade from Hield to Simmons re-sign rights is worth the prospects and potentially late 1st in 2021.

Accept. Lose my favorite sixer but get okay return in Hield, another one-year rental (maybe less injury prone?), and some upside and picks to toss onto other deals. This is how i choose not to commit to a full scale teardown and rebuild, perhaps remaining competitive enough to win this season? Time will tell.

This is a actually not a bad return for Simmons at all. I would have kept Ben personally and tried to build around him but not a bad audible by Oaks here
