So it was reported this morning that the Timberwolves are asking the league to probe the Blazers if they knowingly traded them a injured player in Martell Webster; who underwent back surgery from an injury he said he first got in the Playoffs against Phoenix. Now it is being reported that people in the NBA front office are laughing at the Timberwolves and Kahn about this whole thing. Considering they could have done a physical (like OKC did with the Tyson Chandler trade) and reject the trade if Webster doesn't pass. Kahn is quite the special fellow

Not to mention they refuse to give more playing time to Kevin Love... not a big deal, until you realize he's the BEST F***ING REBOUNDER IN THE LEAGUE! Yes, I said best. You give him starter's minutes and he will win the rebounding title every year.
Also, I was talking to a friend of mine from back home about this (he's a die-hard T-Wolves fan), and he started talking about how good the team could be if they hadn't been so stupid. I asked him what he meant, and he said he wished the lineup looked like this:
Jennings Curry Wes Johnson Love Jefferson
At first I thought it couldn't be possible, then I realized, "Shit, that could be their starting 5 right now." I mean, they'd be awful defensively, but they would be fun as hell to watch... and who knows, they're all young, they could get better on defense.

BONEHEAD move by Kahn and the entire organization then on Webster. You should give EVERY player you are set to acquire a physical. Idiot.
I actually like that they sat Love most of the 4th quarter. He is viewed as a team leader (and one of the elder statesmen on a roster that experienced high turnover). He was not playing great defense (I know, I watched it) so he sat, partly to send him a message to play better defense. The team gave up 117 points at home against a Reke-less Sac. Kings team and 30 in the 4th quarter so no one was playing great defense. So, you send a message to everyone by sitting your team leader who was playing crappy defense too that no one is above getting sat on the bench for bad defense. Let's not kid ourselves, this is not a playoff team. So if you lose an extra game or two getting players adequately motivated to play better defense and get a point or two and team philosophy across than that is more important than another win or two.
And yes, Curry will haunt the franchise forever. I was even a bit perplexed that they took Flynn over him. Jennings, come on now, lets not use revisionist history here. He was a lottery pick guy entering the draft and one that has succeeded but he did not have this type of cred then...not like Curry had.

He was a lottery pick guy entering the draft and one that has succeeded but he did not have this type of cred then...not like Curry had. That was my friend talking, not me. I agree that Jennings probably wasn't a realistic choice.... which I found ridiculous at the time, and still do. Not just for the Wolves, but for every team before the Bucks (and after the top-3). I argued in one of my leagues that Jennings was the top PG in the draft... 2 months before his rookie season even started. Also in the same post, I said the following things: More or less nailed everything. What does this have to do with David Kahn? Well, nothing really. I just like being right... makes me feel smart. But even geniuses like myself slip up every once in a while. From that same post: In hindsight, I think my dissing of Evans was more a product of me liking Curry and being pissed that people were saying Evans was better. I watched Evans play in person, and, for some reason, only remembered him missing three pointer after three pointer. What I blocked out was him getting to the rim at will. He would do that again later in the tourney against Mizzou. All in all though, I'm almost always right and arguing with me will only make you look silly. (For those reading this, if you can't tell that all the parts about me being a genius are sarcasm, then I don't know what to tell you. I guess, from an IQ standpoint, I technically am a genius, but I would never go around acting like I'm better than everyone else... even though I am.) ((For those still not getting it, go to sleep. It's probably past your bed time anyway.))

For the record, I drafted Reke #8 overall in the other league and openly stated I would have picked him #1 overall had I had that pick once I selected him. So, I guess that makes me the smartest member of Mensa. And if you don't know what Mensa is then you are not as smart as me (sarcasm) and should Google it. If you don't know what Google is you should just crawl under a rock.

I guess it wouldn't be much of an advice since there's virtually no possibility that the person in question wouldn't be under a rock already, for quite some years.
