only like half the teams in my conference bother setting their lineups. Makes for a lot of drama at the end of the week

I feel like the amount of interaction on this site and the league in general has exponentially decreased over the last few years. It's disheartening to see. Maybe everyone is just tanking, but I fear the worst.

Out of sheer curiosity, I went through all the teams in our conference...
Brisbane - trying Kansas City - trying Atlanta - trying Golden State - trying Newark - trying Miami - trying San Diego - trying New York - trying Manchester - not NOT trying
Barcelona - AWOL (dude has had Anthony Davis sitting on his bench forever, and he's still going to make the playoffs) Thuringia - they were setting lineups up until about a month ago, and they've disappeared since Vancouver - one lineup change since November Amsterdam - no lineup changes since November Indiana - dude didn't even join ESPN Seattle - honestly, this is the one that really irks me the most because this is a GOOD team, but they literally did nothing to fill out their roster
I can't speak to the other conference.

it's not that bad as in your conference. I made a fast check and it seems only arlen and brooklyn do not set their lineups in ours.
I guess it's not much more inactivity than the last years. There just hasn't been much communication on here the last couple of years. Maybe we just aren't such chatty GMs.

What sucks is a lot of those are the new oweners who you would think would be the most eager. Indiana, Amsterdam, Arlen are all owners we replaced in the last year. 25% of owners havent been on proboards in the past month.

For the most part, the core of our league is very, very strong. I've been around for probably 8ish years now. I know many of us have. It does seem like the same teams tend to be inactive year over year and we've allowed them to stay on (Vancouver, Seattle, Barcelona, Brooklyn). Then there are the new guys who aren't committed (Indiana, Arlen). We just need to find committed owners for these teams. It is kinda like the NBA, the same teams are bad due to inept/inactive owners. I mean, we are striving for an NBA-like league, right? all jokes aside, we should probably look into finding committed owners

To add my piece, this was the first league I joined. Since then I have joined 2 more with similar format and this is the best run and has some of the coolest GM's. What has been worrisome to me is the lack of voting on trades by some of the Mods, as well as the lack of the updating of the spreadsheet and the FA list. Now I also completely understand that this is a fun add-on to our everyday lives and that takes precedent. I also understand that GM's are supposed to maintain their roster pages and these additional resources aren't so crucial, however it certainly helps a lot when trying to find FA's and evaluate trades for these resources to be updated more often than they currently are. Maybe we could add another Mod or 2, either to increase the flow and activity or to replace Mods who might have checked out a bit. Some of the new GM's may take their cues on how to act from how the league is running and since it's been a little stagnant that could be detrimental to finding and retaining engaged GM's. I'll go ahead and raise my hand to help out. I've become a mod in both the other leagues I'm in because they needed someone to do some of the lifting.
Also, it's not a good look that this forum in open to the public and these dipsh*t spammers keep coming onto the site and posting a bunch of BS that sticks around for a while. It's annoying AF as well.

But if the same owners are inactive year after year... why are they still here? At the end of the day, it would just be nice to see teams set their lineup. It can be done for the whole season before we even tip off.

Part of this is my fault. I'll be honest I got a little burned out on top of work got a little crazy and I got in a new relationship all in October. It didn't help my team went to shit. haha
I will try and set up more ways for the Mods to work together better this offseason. Some of those teams you mentions (Barcelona/Seattle/Vancouver/Brooklyn) are people I know personally so I will get on them more to shape up or if they don't have the time give the team up. I personally know Barcelona had a job that had him traveling while Brooklyn has sort of lost interest in Fantasy sports when he used to be huge into them 5 or so years ago. Seattle has also had some craziness with the job lately. Vancouver is more Mighty's friend (and Denver's brother) so I'll tell them to get him around more.
Work is still busy but I'm managing it better and I got dumped so I should have more time! hahaha
But sorry for being such a dead-beat dad this season everyone!

Wasn't sure where else to put this, but I wanted to point out the insane injury misfortune of Vancouver.
Ish Smith - out Exum - out Skal - out Fournier - out Roberson - out Isaac - out Aldridge - out Winslow - out Hayes - no longer in the rotation in NO
That's absurd.
