Unfortunately we had a mistake and San Diego traded his 2017 1st Round pick twice. This mistake was missed by us Mods. Those of you who were here a few years ago might remember this happening with a trade before. San Diego feels bad for the mistake and has agreed to a $5 Million Cap Penalty this season and to forfeit his 2018 1st Round Pick. This means we will have 29 picks in the 1st round next year. Somewhat coincidentally the forfeited pick from that previous trade was for this year, so we will honor both San Diego picks and still have 30 picks in the 1st round this year.
Lets use this as a cautionary tale for everyone to update your transaction pages and roster pages after every trade you have go through. Us mods can only catch so much.

Good thing we don't have to find a new solution for this since it's the second time this happened 😅

Checking through the former owners trades, I noticed that he also traded a pick twice. The 2018 NYK 2nd round was sent to Toronto (august 18, 2016) and to Atlanta (july 12, 2016).
Considering the disasterous state of the Knicks and the fact that it is 'just' a 2nd round pick, I hope that the punishment won't be as harsh.

Because it's a past owner we wouldn't charge you with a cap hit. Atlanta, would you be ok with getting NY's 2019 2nd instead?

So the 2nd rounders I could offer are: 2017 PHX, 2020 NYK or 2021 NYK

Yeah, I don't need any of his 2nd round picks if that would help matters, if I or the temp past owner haven't already traded them.

Actually that is no matter of ATL, because he allready traded the pick to Brooklyn and Brooklyn traded it to you (Trailducker). So you and TOR own New Yorks 2018 2nd. Because most of the roster pages seem to track the picks wrong, I made a spreadsheet for my own overview: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CKlaH_4Opo52KCM22OAtr68TwFYBP32W5Ud3knZdE24/edit?usp=sharingWould be great if some could use it to update their roster page. All picks, that are not owned by the original team are coloured in the team colours of the respective new owner (sorry if I didn't hit all of the colour schemes). Please tell me, if someone notices mistakes in this spreadsheet. I also noticed, that Newark didn't own his 2019 2nd when he recently traded it to you, Trailducker. He allready traded it to POR, who gave it to NYK. That shit is really confusing.

But shit you are totally right, I now am the owner of the NY 2nd rounder in question. DOH! Thanks for noticing.
