The Honolulu High Flyers have decided that it is in their best interest to relocate in advance of the 2015-2016 season. Amid Honolulu's struggles over the past few seasons, their small market fan base has lost interest in their floundering franchise, causing the city of Honolulu to refuse to update Honolulu's aging arena, which is among the league's worst. So since Honolulu has struggled on and off the basketball court in recent years, they've decided to rebrand. Honolulu has decided to invest in this league's biggest untapped market, the Great White North! Canada has been without a team in this league for too long and what better place to move to than the 6ix! Drake played a big part in luring basketball back to his homeland, so I'm proud to unveil the Toronto Woes!
Owners are very excited to upgrade from the small market of Honolulu to the large market of Toronto. This should bring much higher financial earning potential and a much more rabid fan base. They take over a national market that has been itching to get basketball back since losing their Toronto Raptors. Toronto has carefully maintained the Air Canada Centre and it remains a top-notch NBA arena. This relocation gives this franchise a chance to forget their recent past and restart in Toronto.
