Just when you thought LeBron James had the title of "World's Biggest Douchebag" all wrapped up, Dwyane Wade threw his name back into the ring and might have taken the lead.
Talking about the Heat this upcoming season, Wade said, "If we lose a couple in a row this season, it will be like the World Trade coming down again."
Yep, you read that correct. Dwyane Wade just compared the Heat losing a few games to one of the worst tragedies in recent history.
What. A. Douche.

And it appears Wade was misquoted. Still, probably shouldn't have mentioned 9/11.

"We're going to be wearing a bullseye. But that's what you play for. We enjoy the bullseye. Plus, there's going to be times when we lose 2-3 games in a row, and it seems like the world has crashed down. You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade is coming down again, but it's not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games."
I assume by "you all" he means the media, and in that case he is right. The first back to back losses for this team are going to be the #1 story on SportsCenter, Around the Horn, PTI, and probably the NBC Nightly News. Still, there are like 1,000,000 things better to compare it to then the WTC.
Actually if you get his meaning, it was a really good point. "You are going to report this like you did the WTC, but keep it in perspective, this is just basketball." True.

Yes. It was a misquote, and what he actually said was a valid point. Damn you Fanhouse!
