Damn. I really need to see Blue Chips. I don't know how I never have. Those two Nick Nolte monologues were great.
For what it's worth (not counting anyone from Blue Chips), the greatest fictional basketball character is the ghost of Kenny Tyler. How come that article had no mention of The 6th Man??? And no Space Jam reference? Love and Basketball? Where is Coffee Black? He invented the alley oop!
You can tell those Grantland writers were early 80's kids.
