Ah someone who understands that I don't mean to upset people. I just like being an asshole. +1 karma for Suns! And I look forward to our teams battling it out this season...I guess we may have to consider TD as a threat too...although, I cannot take his team name seriously (for the record, i hate smiley faces, but it makes my point that I am joking with TD here, as not to offend people. I am turning over a new leaf haha). ;D Too many smiley faces hahaa

I'm flattered that you all think so highly of me after only a month! You are all right in that I have put a lot of work into setting this up, but it wasn't a solo effort. Trail Ducker deserves a lot of credit for helping me get it set up, and Miege as well, because his league provided the foundation for the rules in this league. The idea of voting on mods was one of the first things I thought of when I began to write the rules here. I came from a few leagues where I had multiple "run-ins" with the leadership. I came close to getting banned from one, and probably would have if the commissioner hadn't given up and blown the whole league apart. I threatened to leave another league (one that was already hurting for active owners) over rules issues and the treatment I got for questioning the "leadership". I know what is like to love your team but hate the league and not know what to do. You spend tons of time developing your roster, obsessing over draft picks, browsing the waiver wire, etc, and then you get so frustrated with the leadership of the league that you want just call it quits and move on. It sucks. The most important thing to me is that this league survives for many seasons. The real NBA is my model. It is has been around for 65 years, gone through mergers, expansion, relocation, and four commissioners. Rules have changed. Players, owners, and GMs have come and gone many times over. It changes, evolves, and ultimately perseveres. That is my hope for this league. I've found that when mods and commissioners are self-appointed with unlimited job security, things get stale. They can become elitist and condescending to new members. They can become stubborn and resistant to change. That is as likely to spell the death of a league as anything, and it must be avoided. Employee turnover is a natural occurrence in the business world, and it is here too. I have no intention of NOT being the commissioner next year. I hope the league runs smoothly enough that everyone has faith in me to continue on. However if that ever isn't the case, I'd much prefer to relinquish my spot to someone the league trusts more. I could do this for 20 years, or I could do it for 1. I don't care. I just want to know that the league is in good hands. As far as the logistics of voting for mods and commissioners, that still needs to be worked out. I'm open to suggestions I think that's a good take on it. Personally, if I'd run a league in which I put much effort, in the case that a majority of owners wouldn't want me in my position I'd rather have someone else take over so the league can continue to flourish than to keep my place and see the league detoriate because owners are leaving or upset. And I'm also very glad we get to vote for mods, because I'm more and more seeing there's a difference of how mods view different things and how I view it (not only referring to the trade, in case you thought).
