College Football is awesome. That is all. Anyone who disagrees is wrong. NFL is awesome as well. And so is basketball.
Sports are awesome.
But college football Saturdays are the most awesome.

I couldn't believe it was that weekend, I so wanted to go to a Gameday game but family comes first haha.

Yeah, he had it on a big billboard saying something like "Get your facts straight Oregon, Phil Knight went to Stanford and invented Nike here" and I said something like, "All the academic requirements at this school and this idiot got in?!" He took exception to that

He took exception to that I'll tell you first hand some people don't belong there. They must have parents who are big boosters because if they were like you or me and just average joes applying in academic merit, no way in hell would they get in. Some are extremely smart people and are party animals too. I was more in the smart category and went out on Thursdays and Saturdays and then with close friends during the week.

Yeah, me and Mighty would just party and drink in the Architecture studios! No better time to make building perspectives then while hammered!

1.basketball 2.baseball Football is the favorite sport for people who don't really like sports that much. Exceptions being that you played football or grew up on a football family and anybody in the exception probably had multiple concussions which clouds their judgment. Don't get me wrong I get hyped for my rams(laugh all you want, fisher's got us on the right track)and read everything on the Internet about them but football is clearly a sport we need to evolve past. Humans are too big and too fast. Hell yeah that shit is fun to watch but then after you hear the smacks of helmets, you have to think about how much damage it's doing to all these people. So I sorta have miege n moltrez's back. If you do plan on getting into some college football, sec football is the only place to go.

Ugh SEC... Try PAC-12 or AAC (I'll soon be promoting the B1G when Rutgers moves)

Saying that football is not a great sport because it causes harm to its players is basically saying the same thing about all the UFC hoopla there is now and things like boxing. So I hope you're not a fan of one of those first and foremost, because then you'd be a hypocrite. The people that take part in those sports, do so knowing the consequences. No one is being forced to play, none of the professional players are being forced to cash their checks. No college football player is being forced to take a free college education. Additionally, concussions are happening more and more in all sports because of the speed that games are played at. Does that mean all sports should stop? If not, then what is the limit. Cause it seems like we'd be playing the game of, once a sport sees ____ this many concussions, it is deemed dangerous and thus not a good sport.
I played years of basketball and ran track in college and have thus destroyed my knees and ankles in the process. Not one regret though as it was and still is my passion. If we aren't playing sports, games, and doing the things we love to do, then why the hell are we living here? WE LOVE SPORTS THAT'S WHY! haha
Lastly, to say that football is the sport for people who don't really like sports much is the funniest thing I've probably ever heard. It's only got the biggest following out of all the major sports in America...guess we're all just a bunch of dumb ass 'Mericans

Not my point with how people are getting fucked up. Did you get a bunch of head injuries from track and basketball? Most likely not unless your extremely clumsy. Football fucks people heads and bodies up so much it takes years from their lives. When is the last time an athlete not from football or possibly boxing killed themselves. UFC is pretty fucked up too. That being said and as previously stated I really enjoy these sports I just think we're dumb to be putting people on those kinda if positions to get ducked up in the head. And yes I am hypocrite in this case. I love watching those sports but hate the damage that's done to their heads. Football and face punching aren't the only sports in the world. Fucking up your ankles doesn't screw your brain n body up enough to make talk yourself into blowing your brains out or driving of a cliff.
Also I know a ton of football fans( football being their favorite sport) that aren't really into baseball, basketball, soccer, or really any other sport except UFC. It seems to be a common theme I see with people who like football the most. I'm not saying everyone cuz there are exceptions.
I'm not trying to hate on anybody. Just trying to state facts on why football shouldn't be do heralded. Hell yeah it's entertaining and there's a lot of thinking in the game. I'm not saying its a stupid game I just think it gets such a big draw because "stupid Mericans", as you call them, think the violence is awesome when it's really hurting a lot of these men long term. I'm not sure even the ones playing the game fully understand the consequences of playing such a brutal sport.

As someone who lives right next to Stanford and going through the lovely college admissions process, the number of undeserving people in elite schools seriously bothers me, because only 3% of college attendees go to the Ivies + Stanford, and legacies, affirmative action, and other things that fill up spaces in colleges for no reason really piss me off. As for the football, it's not really the violence per se as much as the main aspect of the game is violence, and I don't see the aesthetics of it. Yes, it's the most dangerous major sport, but all contact sports are dangerous. But football shouldn't be evolved past if people are choosing to play it. Is that a wise choice? For the most part, no. But it is what it is.
