Discuss.

Football is just too senselessly violent to me. It's not the violence that's the problem per se, it's just the fact that the game doesn't really have an art to it. It's just two lines trying to tackle each other and then tackle whoever has the ball. It's mindless violence. Hockey has the violence, but there's an art to everything in it, even the fights. The fights were more amusing in the 80s though, because now you get a 10-game suspension for leaving the bench and bench-clearing brawls are fun.

Part of my love for College Football is the games I've went to. Autzen Stadium, in my biased opinion, is one of the most fun places to go to a football game. Our fan base is so passionate it's infectious. I pay attention to almost all sports but really only want NBA, College Basketball, Soccer and College Football. NFL is a bit boring to me, but I wasn't into College Football until I went to Oregon. So many people at Oregon come in hating football and leave passionate fans because the atmosphere at Autzen Stadium is so electric. Also the walk from campus over the McKenzie River and through a park to the stadium is just such a glorious and beautiful walk. I've been to away games and bowl games and those obviously are special but there just something about Autzen stadium that can't be beat. Ok, it can be beat. Being in the Timbers Army at a Portland Timbers game. That is something people don't understand until the experience it

Football is just amazing! Basketball is my sport but the atmosphere at a college football game is second to none. I went to Stanford and fly out there to see one game a year nowadays, but I have season tickets for Rutgers (grew up going to games with my dad) and as soon as the season ends I can't wait for the next one to start. RU is not very good and still the stadium is always rocking and awesome. I remember one game we were down 10 with less than 3:00 to go in a snowstorm and everyone but the diehards left. I stayed and RU returned the kick for a TD, got a quick stop on D, then kicked a FG to tie. We went to OT, kicked another FG, and had an INT to seal the win. It was just amazing. I've seen a ton of NFL players, including Ray Rice, Andrew Luck, Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, TY Hilton, Coby Fleener, Dion Jordan, LaMichael James, LeGarette Blount, Kenny Britt, Matt Barkley, and many others. It's just the best experience to go to a game and be there with a crowd of 50,000+ on their feet when it's 3rd down.

How can you call these boring Miege?! I also respectfully don't agree with moltres view that the game lacks art as there's an art to the QB throwing, there's an art to the blocking, to the way a running back runs through the tranches, to the routs WR's runs, to coverage and interceptions. There's even an art to tackling.

11 minutes of actual game play. In a 60 minute game. I rest my case.

If you get Pac-12 Networks they have Football in 60 minutes all day on Saturday's where it's a whole game in an hour, just the plays and they skip all of the timeouts, reviews and huddles. Huddles is a foreign concept to Oregon fans though, we are just GO GO GO
