Thank you, thank you. I'm still somewhat in shock. I really did not expect to be able to do this so soon. I thought maybe 2-3 years down the road I'd be able to legitimately compete, but they got into the playoffs and just kept winning.
I was lucky to run into TD in the first round because of all the injuries he was dealing with (sorry, commish). I'm pretty sure if I had played any other team in the first round, I would have lost. I thought for sure I would lose in the next round to Boston. So sure, in fact, that I set my lineup on Monday and didn't even bother to check back until that Sunday. How I won that one is still a mystery.
Then of course that matchup against Charlotte, which, let's be honest, it could have gone either way. Literally. Two tied categories? I was lucky as hell to win that one, and boy was I excited. Once in the finals, TD can attest to this, I was actually focused on winning. The first couple of days, I really didn't think I'd have a chance, but Monta and Jrue couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Suddenly, I realized, "oh shit, I can actually win." I started to pore through the lineups, projecting out numbers and all. I was basically the fantasy basketball version of Nate Silver this past week and a half.
So it's been fun. Thanks to all you guys for being great owners, and to TD for effectively running such an in-depth league with 30 owners (believe me, its tough). Its been a great season, and I'm looking forward to next year!

Been overdue, but congrats Miege! Quite the impressive run through the playoffs. Your young guns were playing some inspired ball!
And thanks again TD for the sacrifices for the league... You've done a great job!

Back at you GS. To be honest, had it not been for some dreadful shooting performances from Jrue and Monta, truly outliers in their respective seasons, I definitely would have lost.
But as we know, it takes a little bit of luck to win, and I, fortunately, had it. Was a good season. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

Appreciate the humble acceptance Miege, but I honestly had NO shot. Even without the occasional 0.200 sharp shooting night, I don't think I could have contended. Your guys were playing out of their minds that last week. You must be quite the motivational speaker! Because half the league had one foot in the training room, while the other half were making vacation plans.

Pretty inspiring, if I do say so myself...
