I think we should not just allow foreign teams without thinking it through carefully. We had a discussion about the Euopean teams and the Division we could create, and now that we have 5 teams it's feasable, but I don't think there should be teams all over the world just because owners like it... It should be coherent.

We didn't just accept the first foreign team either, are makign a whole division with European teams (at least I think we are). So maybe you could try to get other owners to form and Asian division, or something like that. It just doesn't make much sense to have just 1 team at the other end of the world.

You really don't see the problem with Sham-Yao? Your basing your name is a pun on a freaking dish towel!

The sham-wow has no relation whatsoever to China. You just added Yao's name, which will make the name even more ridiculous if you don't actually get Yao.
Say what you want about Love, but at least there is some relation between the name and the city.

Guys I have to admit this logo is not made by myself ... I'm a noob at photoshop. This logo is from an ice-hockey-team we had some years ago in munich and I thought it would work quite well.

well half of team names dont have anything to do with anything? for ex. New Jersey Nets... the nets has nothing to do with new jersey.. its just a basketball term. Yao is a ver popular basketball player in shanghai and around the world.. sham just adds a little zing to it.. so basically is makes just as much sense as an NBA franchise we have now
