I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new owners to the Pick & Roll Fantasy Basketball League. I've created this league not because I need more fantasy teams or I have some need to be in charge of something, but because of a vision I have of creating a community that is bigger than just the sum of its parts.

I was introduced to this type of realistic dynasty-style fantasy league a few years ago and it became one of my most enjoyable hobbies. It is my hope that this league becomes a community of 30 owners as equally passionate as my myself and that it becomes a community which can stand on its own - long after I or any other individual owner is gone.

I can assure you that I will make the utmost commitment to guiding this league through the early stages and rough patches that will surely come. All I ask is for an equal level of commitment and dedication from each and every owner that starts a franchise here. Log in everyday. Talk to each other. Send PMs, post links, start a team blog, be active. I firmly believe that everyone who joins the Pick & Roll Basketball League can offer something unique to the community.

This is to be a league where all owners, new or established, are respected for the unique viewpoints they bring. New ideas, suggestions, and concerns should always be respected and encouraged. If you have an idea of how to make things run smoother, please talk to me. If you have a concern about another owner, please talk to me.

With all that said, I'd like to thank TrailDucker for all the work he has done to help me get this league set up and running. Now, lets get this party started!

I also want to ask everyone to make sure they at least go through the rules section and clearly understand them. It will be to your advantage! We wanted to make them as clear as possible so help us if they are not. Some of you are in other leagues with Mighty and I that have a very similar set up, know although we used those leagues as precedents for this league and the rules, we added our own unique ideas to these rules we hope for the better. Please read through them and tell us any concerns or anything we may have not gone over clearly so they are all clear and set in stone once the league officially is started.

I would also like to thank Miege and Obsidian (Didn't see that one coming!) for their leagues and the lessons/joy/insipiration it has brought Mighty and I.
