Yes, that is correct Miege. Worst team here = worst team (most ping pong balls) in real life. It also allows for pure transparency on how the lottery portion of the draft order is set up. No one could ever claim that one of the Mods rigged it. They could claim the NBA rigged their lottery (Ewing to the Knicks) but that is another topic for another day. Would, as the Nightmare indicates, make the real life draft lottery extra fun to watch. Oh, and thanks guys. Every once and awhile I have a good idea. To add to that: -Chicago overcomes ridiculous odds to land #1 pick in Rose draft -2003 -Wizards get #1 pick last year with Arenas going insane (Wall) Yes, I believe the lottery is rigged.

Miege. I see the conspiracy theory argument for Rose to Chicago. But, I don't see it in Wall to the Wizards. I don't think the NBA care's as much about the Wizards than it's other big name franchises (NY, BOS, LA (Lakers), etc).

Just out of curiosity, how are we going to settle the different games played thing? If I finish 2-14, but two other teams finish 2-15, will they be "worse" than me? Doesn't really make sense.

It is the same thing with the playoffs ... for example i may finish the season 9-8 und two other teams in my division still have the possibility to finish 9-7. So i might miss the playoffs cause i had 1 game more than them.

2-15 is worse than 2-14 and 9-7 is better than 9-8. This makes perfect sense ! With 15 teams and 18 weeks, there will always be teams with 1 game less (or more) and nobody can say who would have won (or lost) this additionnal game. Winnning % is the only way to rank teams. And don't forget that some teams had easier/harder schedule which had a much higher impact on the ranking than this 1 additionnal game. EDIT: I will try to end the season with 10-6 so that Munich has no regret

I echo Super Storks statements. It is all about the winning percentage. As the saying goes...JUST WIN BABY!

That's right. Maybe we should think about having more bye's and only 14 games (1 against everyone of your conference) next season.

Maybe ask Oaks how he arranged the schedule of his 30-team league.
On a side note, I think I now hold the record of most points left on the bench in 1 night: 63! Henderson and Korver both 20 and Miles 23! Talk about bad roster decisions, luckily I don't need it against Wizards.

Okay... Just caught this thread. If we use %'s to rank the playoff seeds it forces the question - how are you going to do the tiebreaker to get into the playoffs? Same as ESPN defaults? I ask because there's a few teams fighting for the last playoff spot with a 9-8 record.
I strongly suggest getting the schedule worked out before the season begins, setting it at 15 weeks so each team gets a bye, and making it Each Cat rather than Most Cats so this tiebreaker thing doesn't come up.
Edit - You need an even number of teams to play Each Cat so i had to make a bye team (bye every week) to get the schedule to work out in this league i run.

And it happened... 2 spots available and 3 teams tied with a 9-8 record (MEM, SAS, myself)...
I'm just throwing the others under a bus here (damnit i don't care) but if it goes to Head to Head records to break the tie: MEM (2-0 OAKS) SAS (1-0 OAKS) So i'm in there baby! (Until SAC kicks my ass out next weekend)
