this leauge is getting to be really boring.. i know its the offseason but.. we need a chatboard. it would make this leauge alot more exciting. rather than just logging on.. making a 2min routine check and then logging off.
thanks

I am for whatever. I am not bored. After all.....it is the off season. Most leagues have quiet times in offseasons.

I recommend this www.cbox.ws/index.php very useful Im making a nba gm league and recently got this. it works very well cbox are only good if you have paid for the upgrade due to the free service not having an auto updater chatrolls has a problem as the limit of people on at once is ten while xat boxes are good, the sounds are just too damn annoying when people log on/off non-stop i personally havent found a free chat program which is perfect for a league larger than 10 yet unfortunately

I don't know if Mighty has decided or not, but I will throw in my two cents on this.
I don't like the idea of a chat box. I don't see what they accomplish in a league in which you want to keep trade talks private. In standard, non-salary cap leagues, chat boxes aren't bad; you can wheel and deal easily. Personally, in this league, I would NEVER get on the chat box and talk deals with people. I don't think it makes ANY sense to negotiate particular players and trades in front of other owners. It can cause a bidding war, other owners would chime in and potentially convince another owner to not pursue a particular trade, etc.
Also, many owners here just do not have the time to sit on here and "chat." I work almost 65 hours a week between two jobs and I know many other owners are taking summer classes, have jobs as well or have family obligations. I just don't think that there is a "need" for a chat box.
That's just my opinion on the whole chat box thing. They might sound like a good idea, but I really think they are more of a problem than anything else.

Yeah. I have no issue with others wanting a chat box and us having one. Just don't expect me to use it much at all as I fall in line with what richardson said. The most I would use it for is if I see someone is on who I want to take trade with and I jump on into the chat box just to see if they are in there at that moment and tell them to expect a PM from me soon. That's pretty much it for me.

I think this is dumb, but I'm feeling nice, so I'll give the people what they want. If this causes problems, or if I think it distracts from the league then I'm taking it away.
You'll have a chat box shortly.
