I think two week playoff matchups is better as it ensures a little more that the better team wins, not just the hot team. Option B

February is far too early to end the regular season. Option A.

Not saying I'm leaning still one way or another. I go back and forth between the pros and cons of both options.
But if we go with Option B. What do people think about having a consolidation playoff with those 7 teams in each conference and whoever wins that gets an extra $5 Mil in cap space for the next season? The draft lottery orders will be already in place and it won't have an effect on that, but still gives teams something to play for for the last two months.

B. more playoffs are always better in everything. I also like that the schedules can be more balanced to counteract the shorter schedule . I've flip flopped on this a few times but I really do think b is the best option. Consolation tournement would be fine with me.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of a consolation prize. I don't think it's necessary.

Great discussion on this and good thinking getting this started TD! I think everyone has except any of the pros and cons that I have thought about with both options (Thanks for summarizing though TD). Tough call...
