Knicks will call up Chandler Parsons from IR, and will place Nick Calathes on the IR.

Per the League Rules: When activating and deactivating players they must stay active or on the IR respectively for at least week.
You may not activate Parson's until the 12th. Do not add him to your lineups on ESPN.

Doesn't that conflict with the fact that we must play our players or else we get fined. I mean I could put two of my best players on IR a whole season to tank theoretically if this is the case.

It is not a conflict. You have other players that you can play. The IR rule is very black and white rule. You can put a guy on IR for any reason, but they must remain on IR for one week. Technically, who you put on IR is your decision. However, once they're on IR, you must adhere to the rules that are in place.

I understand they're very simple but I think there is room for exploit within it. Aren't we against the concept of tanking?

I'm pointing out a silly rule. I made the adjustment accordingly as soon as I saw this.
What I am trying to get across is that we make a big fuss about tanking and yet here I see a potential way to do so without any repercussions.

What I am trying to get across is that we make a big fuss about tanking and yet here I see a potential way to do so without any repercussions. Personally, I couldn't care less if people tank. And there's always going to be a way to do it, because someone will always find a loophole. The reason we have the IR rule structured the way it is, is because you could essentially stream players without it. I understand that you're upset about not being able to play Parson's, but it is what it is. This is why it falls back on the owner to do their due diligence before placing a player on IR.
